Personality:

Making a good first impression isn't what Joonghyuk concerns himself with—he might come off as a grumpy and rude loner who finds people annoying, especially when they keep asking insignificant questions. Despite that seemingly unpleasant demeanor, Joonghyuk cares a lot, but it's displayed in his actions rather than words. He strives to do what he can to help others, but at the same time keeps most people at arm's length, not letting anyone in to avoid getting hurt.

However, if he warms up to someone, Joonghyuk is very loyal and attentive, even if he might not seem to pay attention at first. His aloof attitude doesn't change either, so it might be difficult to tell if he's close or not to someone.

Joonghyuk is a determined and goal-focused person. While these traits shine during all kinds of missions and quests, they also highlight his no nonsense approach, bluntness, and stubbornness. When he sets his mind on something, it takes a lot of effort to convince him to change his ways. Moreover, he hates lying and scheming, and will not tolerate it.

On top of that, he is a person who's quite confident in himself. His natural talent for coming up with strategies for various games and implementing these ideas in order to win is remarkable, but it doesn't mean he's always successful, especially when his stubbornness gets in the way.



Three important memories:

▪ Winning his first esports tournament — Joonghyuk was serious about esports since high school and during his sophomore year, his team that played a very popular MOBA game won the local tournament and qualified for the regionals. That launched Joonghyuk's career as a pro gamer later known as the Supreme King which became his nickname thanks to his fans. Unfortunately, a few years later, a scandal involving one of the team members and the team's manager resulted in huge fallout and the disbandment of the team.

▪ Taking custody of his little sister Mia — Shortly after his 24th birthday, Joonghyuk found his sister waiting for him at his doorstep with a note from his parents who asked Joonghyuk to take care of her while they're gone. He rented a detective agency in order to find his parents, even though there weren't many clues to work with to begin with. Joonghyuk devoted himself to taking care of his little sister, something his colleagues couldn't really understand. Eventually, he distanced himself from people.

▪ Subduing a man who went on a stabbing rampage in a subway car — One day on his way home, Joonghyuk was considering his return to professional gaming when a man sitting a few seats next to him pulled out a knife and assaulted another passenger. At first, he was terrified and froze, unable to act. Eventually, he calmed down and managed to knock the assistant to the ground.



Three important items:

▪ A dumpling plushie — a gift for his 28th birthday from his sister Mia who worked hard to make it herself. It looks exactly like Joonghyuk, even though he begs to differ. He keeps it on his gaming desk.
▪ A pocket watch — One day, Joonghyuk found it in his bag. He never figured out who the previous owner was, however. During the incident in the subway, the pocket watch got damaged while the assailant tried to stab Joonghyuk. If it wasn't for the pocket watch, he'd get gravely injured.
▪ His first trophy — gaming was always a big part of his life, so clawing his way onto the professional gamer scene was quite an accomplishment for him. It helped him believe in his own skills and work hard to achieve his goals and dreams.
